Epiphany Pilgrimage, December 2021

The visit of the Wise Men is an important step in the revelation of Jesus. This pilgrimage considered how we can learn from the Wise Men, their journey and their
Epiphany as they met Jesus.

The WhatsApp service included a meditation using a candle to help us think about our own journeys.

Labyrinth Pilgrimage, September 2021

Using a finger labyrinth can help focus concentration and take us deeper into the relevance of the words of a Bible passage. The Abbot therefore lead an online
labyrinth pilgrimage.

Rest For Your Souls, July 2021

As life began to return to something closer to normal after lockdowns and restrictions, the Abbot lead an online pilgrimage to think about rest for your souls.

As we journeyed through the season of Advent, participants were invited on a pilgrimage to meditate on the incarnation of God on earth, in the person of His son Jesus.

Fiat Lux - Let there be light, October 2020

With the days getting shorter and the evenings drawing in, the Fiat Lux pilgrimage was a meditation and reflection on scriptural verses relating to light.

For this pilgrimage, pilgrims considered Jesus' challenging words in Luke 14.33: Those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.


Ceilidh Pilgrimage, July 2020

A pilgrimage on the theme of "ceilidh" which means a gathering. Community members were encouraged to post in the WhatsApp group to further develop the sense of community within Treacle Abbey.

The scripture was Colossians 3.16: Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

The account of the pilgrimage includes the closing service.

The Saints' Way, May 2020

A reflective pilgrimage using The Saints' Way to meditate on Colossians 2.6-7: So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith, as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. The pilgrimage also looked at the wider context of Colossians 2.6-15

A reflective pilgrimage using St Cuthbert's Way to meditate on Luke 6.12: One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. The pilgrimage also looked at the wider context of Luke 6.12-19
